Erinn I. Dunno
"Erinn! Erinn!"
"I Dunno!
I mus'
I mus'
I mus' GROW.
When I
When I
When I DO
I will
I will
LOVE YOU, TOO!"
***
This poem is a future promise from Erinn Tuttle to me, her Grandmother. Erinn, at the age of two and a half years, inspired me because of the same answer to all of my questions. I asked her what color the plastic red and yellow fish were, both in a little game she was playing, she told me "I dunno." I asked her, "What do you say when someone hands you a gift of animal crackers?" I got the same answer. I showed Erinn and eight by ten inch picture, which had been taken several years ago, of her mom, Caron. I asked her, "Who is this lady?" She answered, with a straight face, "I dunno!" After cracking up, I couldn't wait 'til I put this poem on paper.
